Akshaya Venkataraman is a Senior Research Fellow at CTIL. Prior to joining CTIL, Akshaya worked for two years as an associate at Trilegal Mumbai, on foreign investments in India with the private equity team. She completed her B.A. L.LB (Hons) from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in 2017. She has been a judge at the White & Case International Rounds of Philip C Jessup Moot Court Competition held at Washington D.C. (2019). She has also won, and been awarded the Best Speaker at, the Asia-Pacific rounds of the ELSA Moot Court Competition on World Trade Law (2014); and the FDI International Investment Arbitration Moot Court Competition (2014). Her areas of interest include World Trade Law and International Investment Law.
