Tanushri Roy is an MPhil specialized in Public Policy from the University of Cambridge. Tanushri is an alumnus of Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi from where Roy completed her graduation in Sociology and degree in laws. Roy is also a certified international mediator and business negotiator. Roy has worked in research, consultancy and project management roles with various organizations such as the Department of Education and Department of International Trade, Government of the United Kingdom; The Energy and Resources Institute, the United Nations, among others. As a lawyer she has assisted legal institutions in spearheading judicial reform across sectors. Roy has also traversed India’s interiors and undertaken research on diverse socio-legal issues. Interestingly, Roy has captained the National Basketball Team, has a Masters Degree in the Indian classical dance form of Kathak and is also the Founder of the Shrinkhala Centre for Arts and Development. Roy is the recipient of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award; the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Delhi, international gold medals in mediation and negotiation among other laurels. As part of her deputation to the Department of Commerce, Tanushri has been involved in bilateral trade negotiations, the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, exploring export opportunities in the LAC and African region and other works related to EP (Agri) and SMDs.
