Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) hosted a Book Talk and Panel Discussion on “Free Trade Agreements: India and the World”. The book “Free Trade Agreement: India and the World” is authored by Ambassador Dr. V. S. Seshadri (Retd. IFS) and published by Oxford University Press. The book traces the historical origins of trade agreements by providing a comprehensive overview of the theory and practice as well as the various benefits and challenges. The book focuses on India and its approach to FTAs, highlighting the impact of FTAs on the Indian economy and the need for India to be more proactive in negotiating and ensuring that its FTAs promote India's economic interests.
