The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), and Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, Mumbai, organized a conference “Geopolitics and South AsiaS Trade Architecture” on Wednesday, 12th February 2025, 4 PM onwards at Room No. 22, Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi. The conference analyzed South AsiaS trade landscape and outlined a vision for the regions trade architecture, amidst evolving dynamics of the global economy. Shri Sunil Barthwal, Hon'ble Commerce Secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India, graced the event and delivered a keynote address. A paper titled “The New Geopolitics and South Asias Trade Architecture – Whats Next?” was presented by the Gateway House research team composed of Dr. Ganeshan Wignaraja (Professorial Fellow in Economics and Trade, Gateway House), Mr. Amit Bhandari (Senior Fellow, Energy, Investment and Connectivity), and Mr. Ali Asger Bootwalla (Manager, Gateway House). The presentation was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dr. James J. Nedumpara, Professor & Head, CTIL
