The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, collaborated in the International Trade Law Summit (ITLS) 2026, held from 2–4 October 2026 at Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, on the theme “The WTO@30: Reimagining Multilateralism in International Trade Law.” The Summit was organised by HNLU’s School of Law & Technology and Centre for WTO & WIPO Studies, in collaboration with the WTO Young Trade Leaders Programme and CTIL under the WTO Chairs Programme. Prof. (Dr.) James J. Nedumpara, Head, CTIL, IIFT, participated as the Guest of Honour at the inaugural ceremony and as a panellist in the WTO Chairs discussion on “The Future of Multilateralism: How Academia Can Shape the Next Era of International Trade Law.” The Summit featured expert-led panel discussions, a training session on WTO trade negotiations, research paper presentations across 12 technical sessions, and a Mock WTO exercise simulating WTO negotiations. Discussions addressed emerging issues in international trade, including digital trade, artificial intelligence, sustainability, services liberalisation, investment facilitation and WTO dispute settlement reform. CTIL team members also contributed as chairs of technical sessions and Mock WTO committees. Ms. Tanvi Praveen, Consultant; Ms. Mirnalini Baskaramoorthy and Mr. Samarth Nayar, Young Professionals; and Ms. Sparsha Janardhan, Senior Research Fellow, chaired technical sessions.
